Bobbie Grennier

Bobbie GrennierBobbie Grennier has been a practicing pagan for more than twenty years. She has taught Wicca classes and led public rituals through the years, founding the Church of the Goddess in 1990. In 2010, Bobbie was ordained by Z Budapest as the first Summoner within the Dianic tradition, opening up a new role for women who want to organize and produce events. She now serves as H.Ps. for the Sisterhood: Blessing All Communities (Susan B. Anthony Coven #1) and The Sisterhood

In 2007 with Z’s blessing, Bobbie resurrected the Susan B. Anthony Coven #1 after 30+ years of abandonment. Z had named this coven in 1971, but handed it off to Ruth Barrett who used it for a period of years before changing the name to Moon Birch Grove. And thus it laid dead for three decades.

From 2007 to 2014, Bobbie governed this coven and Z lead the public rituals as it pleased her.

From 2014-2016, Bobbie worked privately with a group of women in-person and continued to allow the coven to represent a global presence in support of Z Budapest. Z was an occasional guest speaker during this time, but not acting H.P. The website was changed in 2014 to reflect this shift with Bobbie as the H.P. and Z as honored foremother.

2014 ushered in a ending to the tryst between Bobbie and Z. 2016 brought a total departure in her relationship with Z Budapest for personal reasons.

On November 29, 2017, Z Budapest announced the formation of her new coven the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Coven #1. Once more, Z has retired the coven name Susan B. Anthony Coven #1 from her own use. Thus, the Sisterhood: Blessing All Communities will remain synonymous with the name of the Susan B. Anthony Coven and continue their work as Feminist Dianics. “Since my Cady ancestor was sister to Elizabeth Cady Stanton, I like to think my ancestor had something to do with Z’s change of heart. Whatever it was, it’s a blessing for both groups,” Bobbie said.

Bobbie Grennier holds a B.A. in Speech Communications with Minors in English and History, plus a Clear Teaching Credential in the state of California. She is a certified Master Herbalist (Global College of Natural Medicine) and Hypnotherapist (American Board of Hypnotherapy). She works as an Internet Strategist and Online Marketing expert.

Bobbie studied Celtic Mythology and Herbalism (Sage Mountain Herbal Center) with Kisma Stepanich, the author of the Faery Wicca books and tarot. She was ordained as an Ollamh Fodhla in the Faery Faith Tradition and became a member of Fellowship of Isis.

Bobbie produced and sponsored the first Faery Camp festivals that focused on pagan rituals and Celtic folklore. She produced annual Yule Festivals and an intensive event called Faery Camp, which was the first of its kind. It was attended by Anodea Judith, Shekihinah Mountainwater and Alison Harlow. She also produced some of the Goddess Festivals on the California Central Coast with Shirley (Delisi) Cavanaugh.

Bobbie also organized and produced the Merlin Stone Memorial that took place in Clearwater, Florida. Bobbie is currently working on a documentary about Merlin Stone called In Search of Merlin Stone, which is still in production.

Bobbie established and served as editor of the Goddess Magazine which features the writings of herself, Z Budapest and various women of the Susan B. Anthony Coven Number One.

She is currently working on her Doctorate of Ministry through the Ocean Seminary College’s Goddess Thealogy doctoral program.

Bobbie has been working with Z Budapest and the Women’s Spirituality Forum’s non-profit overseeing the operations of the Goddess College, Goddess Magazine, Goddess Festivals and several websites since 2007.

As of May 25, 2016, Bobbie formally resigned her position as Vice President of the Women’s Spirituality Forum, Inc., ending all ties to that organization and her direct work with Z. Even though she resurrected the name after over thirty years of abandonment, Bobbie had formally returned the coven name of the Susan B. Anthony Coven #1 to Z. Update: November 29, 2017, Z Budapest announced the formation of her new coven the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Coven #1, thus releasing the Susan B. Anthony Coven name.

Now Bobbie’s focus is on her own community of women locally and the continued education of women around the world in the Dianic tradition and goddess lore. The group’s name change is reflected as Sisterhood: Blessing All Communities with a core group called The Sisterhood.

In addition, Bobbie retired her position as the producer of the Z Budapest Goddess Festival, even though she resurrected the event in 2007 after over ten years of abandonment. All future events produced by Bobbie will no longer involve appearances by Z Budapest.

Bobbie continues to honor Z Budapest as the founding mother of the Dianic Tradition. Bobbie and her community continue to support the tenants of the Holy Book of Women’s Mysteries and Z’s teachings through her 50+ years of service to the Goddess and Her women.
